Euro A-Class Championships 2014 Update
Multihull skipper and DBY listing broker, Jason Waterhouse, achieved incredible results at the European A-Class Championships 2014 in Carcans (Gironde-France) June 21 – 28th.
Jason secured the 2nd place trophy in a hard fought competition against some of the best sailors in the world.
The 106 boat fleet included multiple Olympic, national and world champions, as well as New Zealand America’s Cup skipper Dean Barker.
Jason was only beat out of the top spot by Emirates Team NZ trimmer and Australian Olympic silver medalist Glen Ashby who has notably won 7 A-Class world titles.
Jason earned two 1st places and a second with remaining results consistently staying in the top 6. The conditions were varying from light to windy which made it a fair game regatta for weight and tactics.
The competition boat Jason used was a new foiling Exploder design. This was Jason’s first ever A-Class event. Race results here
