DBY Boat Sales, Australia’s most personable and experienced yacht brokerage (est. 1977), is expanding and we are looking for a motivated and knowledgeable Boat Broker to join our close-knit, high-performing team.

We specialise in yacht, catamaran, and motor cruiser sales and pride ourselves on offering expert service to both local and international clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Listing and selling yachts, catamarans, and powerboats
  • Sourcing new clients by prospecting, closing deals and managing client relationships throughout the sales process
  • Conducting inspections, and client walk-throughs
  • Writing accurate and compelling listings and inventory descriptions
  • Managing negotiations and assisting with contracts, surveys, and handovers
  • Using our CRM system to track leads and sales progress
  • Maintaining professional relationships with buyers and sellers
  • Ensuring optimal presentation of boats.
  • Provide regular sales performance reports, forecasts and insights to senior management.
  • Work closely and actively with the Management and Administration team to ensure seamless operations and collaboration across the business.
  • Always happy to lend a hand with any task across the company. An excellent attitude where no task is too small when contributing to the overall success of the team
  • Requirements:
    • Experience in boat sales, brokerage, or marine product sales with a proven track record in direct sales (2+ years preferred)
    • Sound knowledge of boats and a genuine passion for boating
    • Proficient boat handling skills is essential
    • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with a wide range of clients.
    • Exceptional sales and customer service skills.
    • Highly organised and comfortable managing multiple listings and buyers
    • Familiarity with marine terminology, contract processes, and digital tools
    • A current boat licence (or willingness to obtain one)
    • Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and a collaborative attitude
    • While not a requirement, experience in marketing and social media would be considered a valuable asset.
