Wauquiez 33

This rare opportunity to purchase a Wauquiez Gladiateur "ARAKI OF POOLE", is exclusively for sale with DBY Boat Sales.

I asked the owner of this amazing boat to write some copy and information. He has sent lots of information below. This is a rare opportunity to buy a very capable blue water cruiser that is fully optimised and equipped.

Nothing in this category compares at this price level.
Brief history a note from the vendor:
"I owned this Gladiateur for 4 years, single handedly full-time cruising the Caribbean and the
Pacific. The previous owner bought it in Italy, made some nice upgrades, crossed the Atlantic in
2015, and sailed the Caribbean for a few years until I bought it in Rio Dulce, Guatemala in 2019.
Things that I really like about this boat: it's quite fast for its size, it points really well into the wind,
has a skeg rudder, and the bilge is always dry. One of those good old boats that can take you
anywhere. It comes equipped with everything necessary for full-time cruising and living aboard.
2020 Refit
In fall 2020 the boat was hauled out for 2 months. Work was done on the hull, the engine, as
well as some other stuff. The bottom was sandblasted all the way to the fiberglass and properly
treated. There were some bubbles on the bottom, but it turned out that the fiberglass itself was
OK. The moisture meter confirmed everything was within normal parameters. It was then treated
with a special epoxy barrier coat, followed by 5 coats of Interprotect 2000, and two coats of
antifouling - Pettit Trinidad Pro. The same antifouling was put on in Panama in November 2022.
The top blue stripe was also repainted.
The engine got some work done also, including taking the saildrive out and replacing the
diaphragm.

INVENTORY
Sails - A full inventory of sails (8):

need be).
150% furling genoa (big and powerful sail), small furling genoa, hank on jib, hank on storm jib,
symmetrical spinnaker, and asymmetrical spinnaker in a sock. The boat has a removable inner
