Crested Tern, a 1989 Walker H28, is now for sale.
The first real owner bought her in 1997 and finished the fit out. Crested Tern had never been sailed until this time.
Kitted out over a three year period and launched in December 1989, she is one of the last Walker H28s to be moulded by Mr Khan Walker of Walker Yachts of Geelong (hull number 80).
Finished with three coats of epoxy resin, the hull is massively built and core samples have been taken over the years to verify her hand lay up of solid glass.
Her Bukh20hp engine is well maintained from new and has run since then without missing a beat. The engine receives an oil change, new filters, anodes and pump overhaul every year.
The rigging is less than 2 years old and the antifoul was done in July 2015. She is ready to go.
