A very clean 1985 Top Hat, Sgian Dubh is now for sale. The name refers to the small knife worn tucked into a sock as part of traditional Scottish Highland dress along with a kilt.
Built just as tough as every other Top Hat she comes with a very nice 15hp Yamaha long shaft outboard in a well in the cockpit.
Her standing rigging is due for replacement (for insurance purposes at least) but that is reflected in her asking price.
He sail wardrobe consists of a furling genoa, 2 mainsails, a working jib, and a spinnaker.
She has sleeping accommodation for 4, and an enclosed toilet.
A 2021 bimini top shades the cockpit, and she has a boom awning as well to keep the cabin cool and to shade the forward part of the cockpit. She has a VHF radio as well as a stereo and even comes with an 8’ fibreglass dinghy and oars.
Sadly for Sgian Dubh her owner has had a work transfer interstate and she now eagerly awaits someone new to sail her away and enjoy time aboard.
