Nordic 40

This iconic Robert Perry design 1981 Nordic 40, the perfect blend of comfortable cruising and performance, is now for sale.

Her solid glass layup is up to 2 inches thick and she is fully insulated for cold climates with Alaskan waters in mind.

A beautiful teak fitout gives a light and modern appearance whilst maintaining her nautical charm and heritage.

She is heavily equipped to continue to any distant destination, with a replaced engine, good sails and updated electronics, plus safety equipment including Jordan Serial Drogue with dedicated chain plates.

Recent reviews emphasise the performance. The deep draft keel gives superior windward ability. This boat is both roomy and fast. A performance cruising yacht with a modified three-quarters keel and skeg-hung rudder.

For comfort, she carries ample water and fuel and is generous in storage. Ventilation is plentiful with large hatches and opening ports throughout.

Skye is now in Pittwater having sailed the Pacific. It is rare that we have this quality of boat arrive in our region.
