This 1979 Compass 28 has had some nice upgrades during the current ownership of approximately 10 years. A 20hp Yanmar is one of those upgrades and was installed 11 years ago. The sail wardrobe was upgraded in 2015 along with a new furler and running rigging. Standing rigging is approximately 9 years old.
Suffice it to say, that the sailing ability of a Compass 28 is forgiving, un-scary and very comfortable. This explains why so many Compass 28s have been sold, and continue to sell quickly when they come on the second-hand market, as they satisfy the need for a safe, family yacht or a yacht for new sailors.
