Charlie Peel was getting close to the end of his very successful yacht design and boatbuilding career. Well known for building Gaff rigged racers plus many other timeless classics like this one.
A beautifully built 34ft hardwood framed, carvel planked oregon hulled yacht, Charlie is a fine example of Australian yacht building.
Featuring a wardrobe of quality sails by Hood and Norths. A near brand new furling headsail made by Hood, 2016 standing and running rigging. Charlie is comfortable and fully equipped down below for coastal cruising, or just pottering around local bays and harbours.
Accommodation for 4 comprising a single bunk to each side of the saloon plus a large queen double in the bow. A butterfly style salon table of very high gloss sits in between the bunks. Recent navy blue and white marine upholstery throughout.
New electrics wiring and gauges in 2016, the 2 batteries were replced in 2018.
A 2012 diesel shaft driven Vetus/Kubota engine with approximately 400 hours that presents like new. Stainless fuel tank x 100 litres and stainless water tank x 260 litres.
The teak coachhouse has fibreglass sheathing and so does the decks and cockpit floor. Constantly maintained and restored by her present owners, she is in great shape, looks a trophy and turns heads everywhere she goes, and is ready for new owners.

Owned at one stage by well known yachtsman, Colin Beashell who crewed on the winning America's Cup team Australia II in 1983 and competed at six Olympics between 1984 and 2004, winning bronze in 1996.
