45’ Peter Brady designed Power Cat. Currently in Noumea.
47’7” overall custom build in fiberglass by Brava Marine in Brisbane in 2009. She was operated in commercial survey in Western Australia: 22 passengers + 2 crew by day, or 12 passengers + 2 crew overnight.
Sold in WA, she was then motored to New Caledonia and has operated successfully as a party, fishing and dive charter boat out of Noumea for the past 4 years.
Repowered one year ago (1350 hours) with Yanmar 6 cylinder 440hp diesels, and new 5 blade Austral propellors, she has a top speed of 25 knots, and a comfortable cruising speed of 18 knots burning just 100 litres /hour total.
Fully air conditioned (replaced January 2022), 100 litre/hour watermaker, very comprehensive electronics and autopilot, a Westerbeke 5.7kW genset, a gorgeous new 3.5m Kiwi made OC (Offshore Cruising) tender with a 20hp Suzuki outboard, and everything in excellent working order ready to go to work. Anything this boat has needed she has received from her fastidious owner. For example a new water heater and hydraulic steering pump were fitted in 2022.
Her accommodation includes 2 large cabins, 1 children's / crew cabin, a pullout lounge, and a "Roman" lounge for sleeping (2m x 2m) on the flybridge. As well she boasts 2 showers and toilets (inside and outside). 2 fridges, 2 freezers, 3 televisions, 1320 watts of solar panels, 600Ah of Lithium House Batteries, and 400Ah of Start batteries (2022), and the list goes on and on. She even has a clever DC-DC fast charging module that can recharge the entire bank of Lithium batteries in just 4 hours.
One of 17 Brava 45’s built, she is the only one to have been placed in Commercial survey for charter but equally she would make an amazing family boat.
As an Australian built boat there is no Import Duty payable if she returns to Australia and under certain conditions it may be that no GST is payable again either.
