Marybel, a gorgeous 1957 traditionally planked timber sloop from the design board of Freeman and Watts, is now for sale exclusively with DBY Boat Sales.
She has spotted gum frames, with spotted gum planking below the waterline and oregon planking above, all fastened with copper nails and roves. Her spars are clear varnished oregon.
Her cockpit is self-draining, and she is powered by a very tidy Nanni 14hp 2 cylinder fresh water cooled diesel, which was fitted just three years ago, and she had two brand new bateries fitted this month.
The age of her standing rigging is unfortunately not known, but her main and roller furling genoa are only 8 years old and are both in excellent condition.
She comes complete with a Porta Potti toilet under the forward bunk, and boasts Raymarine depth, speed and wind instrumentation.
Definitely one of the prettier boats on Pittwater, Marybel is a true classic and is ready to be enjoyed this Summer.
