Timber 32

Timber Cruiser 32ft in length, designed and built by Lenny Cunningham circa 1970 era is now For Sale.

This boat was built in Portland Victoria by Len Cunningham for commercial fishing in the SE of SA which it did for a few years. It was then sold to a Qld owner and converted to its current configuration for charter fishing, then on sold to a private owner before it became the current owners pride and joy.

The hull and particularly the frames and stringers, are very solidly built to withstand the southern ocean of the SE coast of South Australia.

The planking is believed to be Celery Top Pine and that would seem to be the case as when a recent through hull exhaust system on the port stern quarter was fitted, the timber was a very light almost white colour indicating Celery Top Pine. This timber has known rot resistant qualities.

She is powered by a 6 cylinder Ford Leman Diesel shaft drive and fresh water cooled with ceramic wet exhaust plus as a bonus there is a Sidepower joystick controlled bow thruster at the helm. Cruise speed is a comfortable 8 knots at 1600 rpm.

A very pretty boat with stunning lines, covered cockpit, great sea boat, fastidiously maintained, sturdy construction, separate toilet and shower area, gas cooking in a functional galley area. Accomodation for 2 plus 1 single bunk. Antifouled November 2018.

A very easy boat to inspect on a Yacht club berth and will not disappoint.
