1950 Williams 36 now for sale with DBY Boat Sales.
Sedgwick Williams built plenty of local timber boats throughout the 1940's and 50's and this classic 36 footer has only had 3 owners since her original 1950 launching. One owner lived onboard for more than 20 years.
In this sedan cruiser, the feeling onboard is one of space and nice segregation between the inside and outside areas.
The walk around sides are very wide for a boat of this length which gives a very secure feel as you move forward to tend to the anchor or throw mooring lines. The forward deck area and cabin top areas are large and uncluttered.
The seating area in the aft cockpit is well protected and has the option of new canvas sides that zip together and can be rolled up or taken off completely.
There is a generous teak swim platform on the transom for sundowners and easy boarding.
There has been a distinct shift in the boating industry over the last few years – with classic timber boats becoming more and more in demand. Harking back to a bye-gone era – these timber boats carry incredible history and prestige, often with heads turning as they gracefully enter bays looking for an anchorage.
