1984 Wells 41 now for sale exclusively with DBY Boat Sales.
I had the good fortune to recently deliver this fine yacht from Eden to Sydney. We were 2 handed in quite rough conditions. I was amazed at how she handled herself. Reliable and with outstanding performance.
Aphrodite 2 is a serious ocean-going Bermuda Cutter designed by Terry Wells. The design was called a Wells 41. The style is reminiscent of the Herreshoff designs of the 30s and 40s.
She was professionally built in New Zealand by GRP Yachts Limited in Whangerei in 1984.
Purchased by her current owners in Australia in 2002. She has since extensively cruised the East Australian coast including far north Queensland and down for a circumnavigation of Tasmania.
Built and fitted out and equipped for shorthanded bluewater cruising; her inventory is extensive.
What I really like about this boat is the conservatory. Her cockpit is fully enclosed with amazing 360 degree vision. In 30 knots of wind you are absolutely dry and warm.
Outstanding presentation for her age. Look into the immaculate engine room and that tells you the whole story of how she has been maintained.
Aphrodite 2 is ready for her new owners to take them on their dream adventure.
