Atlas is an extremely well-built sloop rigged British designed Rival 34 built for ocean sailing. She is a 1979 model made from solid fiberglass.

The current owners have sailed Atlas from the UK to Australia over the past 4 years all documented on their YouTube channel "The Sailing Brothers". She is fully equipped for offshore cruising / off-grid living with nearly new full set of sails, wind vane steering, Raymarine navigation, full lithium setup, windlass and much more.

Atlas has proved her safety and performance in various conditions from light winds to full on gales always looking after her crew.

Anchor / Winch : Two self-tailing double speed lewmar winches, one single speed lewmar winch. All winches have been regularly inspected and maintained.
Mast/Rigging : Rigging Deck stepped aluminum mast with single spreaders. Standing Rigging is 2 years old, (replaced in Canada), 10 mm stainless steel wire. The current owners have fitted an inner stay at the same time so they could fly a stay sail. 2 Spinnaker poles. The running rigging they have replaced as they go.
Sail Inventory : Mainsail fully battened tri-radial with four wheel IWS car system makes hoisting and lowering the main sail quick and easy. Custom-made orange tip with 4 reefing points making it very versatile in all conditions. 130% furling Genoa tri-radial stitched with UV protection. Hank on stay sail tri-radial stitched, custom orange tip with soft Dymema shackles. Also Hank on stormjib unknown age. The current owners had a brand new sail wardrobe made for them by Boatshed Sails and Rigging in the UK. This was shipped to us in New Zealand when they were there for 6 months cruising.
Electrics : 12V DC The electrical system is set up to offer full independency, in four years cruising the current owners have slowly added to the solar charging system. Now with recent upgrades owners can stay fully off grid. Two 130Ah lithium house batteries new in 2024 and one 80Ah lead acid starter battery new in 2024. She has 630 w of solar panels consisting of 1 × 440 bifacial on a stainless steel solar Arch and 2 × 90 w panels on the sides which fold down. Solar panels are connected with two separate victron charge controllers 30 amp and 50 amp Bluetooth to battery and victron energy battery monitor offering more efficiency and redundancy.
Electronics Navigation : All navigation instruments are from Raymarine: C80 Chartplotter inside main cabin. ST60+ wind, ST60+ speed, ST6002 smart pilot and ST60+ Depth all located in cockpit. The boat has raymarine radar. Two VHF Radios IC-M421 and handheld Standard Horizon HX210. Handheld is 2 years old. Plastimo Contest 5 spherical magnetic compass with red background light. Wind instruments on masttop, mast lights and navigation, Stern and bow lights, steaming light on mast. All 12V consumers are controlled using a centralised switch board.

Ground Tackle : 15 kg Rocna anchor, 30 meters of 8mm short link galvanized chain. Lewmar Pro Series 1000 W windlass Second Anchor is an original CQR with 8m of 8mm chain. This stores nicely in the deck locker.
