1989 Arends 33 now exclusively for sale with DBY boatsales.

The interior of  DOXIE is the finest we have seen for many years in an arends 33, presenting beautifully clean and neat.

Her owners have proudly kept her original fit-out whilst ensuring she is current in electronics and accessories.

This design was  a colaboration between Ron Swanson and John Arends.

I myself have had many happy times cruising this amazing design and am a big fan of the concept. Access across the shallow entrance bars with her low draft integrated rudder and keel makes so much sense.

But an apt description below is from John Arends himself which says it all. John was an avid and well known Australian cruiser.

Originally I did not plan the Arends to be a production yacht. It started out as  a personal dream. A dream motivated by needs for my own yacht. The primary requirement was to have a fast yacht but set up to cruise. It had to get in and out of Brisbane waters reknown for shallow berths and bars. I wanted a boat that I could anchor close to shore and have access to and up river and estuaries. But further be capable to safely navigate shorthanded offshore deep water with safety and stability.

DOXIE is set up well with a strong suite of electronics including a powerful autopilot to allow the boat to be sailed single or double handed.

She has a hard dodger which is a bonus in keeping  the large cockpit dry and protected.
