Changing logos and the business name from David Bray Yachts & Multihulls was a huge consideration for the owners.

The past year saw record sales and fostering critical connections with clients and industry professionals locally and abroad played a part in their decision.

roddaveThree areas of growth were importing and acting as independent brokers for cruisers purchasing abroad, sales of vessels for cruisers sailing to Australia and multihulls.

New owners, Rod Waterhouse and David Renouf’s passion, expertise and decades of experience in all three areas seem to be just what buyers and sellers are looking for.

As DBY’s client base, listings and markets continue to grow, so has their staff, knowledge and expertise. The new name and content will convey this through internet marketing and better utilising SEO strategies therefore broadening the web audience.

DBY Expansion Includes:

  • Yacht World added as a new listing vehicle with Yacht and Boat, Yachthub and Boats on Line
  • New sales office on the Sunshine Coast in Mooloolaba
  • New managing broker in the Balmain office for Sydney Harbour/Pt Hacking/Botany Bay
  • Two new brokers in the Newport Office.  Meet the whole team here

When DBY first opened its doors for business in 1977 by founder David Bray, there were no computers, no internet and not nearly as much competition.  David Bray has done a phenomenal job staying on top of the trends and possibly selling more sailboats than any other broker in Australia.

While David Bray gets to enjoy his semi-retirement, the new owners are keen to continue his legacy and stay around another 30+ years!
